2 rounded tablespoons fresh lavender blossoms, mixture for homemade vanilla ice cream 1 rounded teaspoon chopped fresh lavender blossoms 7 drops red food coloring 7 drops blue food coloring Instructions: Stir the two tablespoons of lavender buds into the base for vanilla ice cream. Cover and chill in the refrigerator a minimum of 2 hours...overnight if you would appreciate a stronger flavor. Strain the mixture and add additional chopped lavender buds and food coloring if you like. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker. When the ice cream is done serve it with a fresh sprig of lavender.
